Mechanical Engineering Department has spacious workshop, machine shop and laboratories, across the various domains.

Machine Shop

  • Objective: To manufacture products as per Design/Drawing Layout, which will meet Quality & Quantity at minimum cost
  • Equipment: Lathe machines, Shaper machine, Milling machine, Grinder, Wood cutting machine, Arc welding machine

Material Testing Lab

  • Objective: To get acquainted with different tests carried out on material to find its strength and get familiarized with the use of microscopes to study microstructures of different metals.
  • Equipment: Universal Testing Machine, Hardness Testing Machine, Torsional Testing Machine, Impact Testing Machine

Internal Combustion Engines Lab

  • Objective: To familiarize with the engine fuel and air supply systems, electronic injection systems used in modern automotive engines and the combustion phenomenon of SI and CI engines, engine pollutants
  • Equipment: 4-Stroke Multi-Cylinder Petrol Engine, 4-Stroke Single-Cylinder Diesel Engine, 4-Stroke Multi-Cylinder Petrol Engine (Disassembled)

CAM & RAC Lab

  • Objective: To demonstrate fundamental principles of refrigeration & air conditioning system and to introduce new and exciting field of Intelligent CAD/CAM/CAE with particular focus on engineering product design and manufacturing with development of holistic view of initial competency in engineering design by modern computational methods.
  • Equipment: Refrigeration Test Rig, Air conditioning Tutor, Ice Plant Trainer, CNC Milling Machine

Computer Center

  • Computer center has 100 high end computers with fast internet connectivity and equipped with latest softwares of various domains to cater the need of students during their project development related activities. It is common facility used by all departments.
  • Equipment: High End Computers, Switch
  • Softwares: Java JDK 1.8, Silver Light, Visual Studio 2008, AutoCAD, SQL Server 2014, MATLAB 2014, Python 3.7, Turbo C++, Codel Blocks v16.1, Power ISO 6.2
