Bandra has the unique distinction of having the most churches anywhere in the world- 5 Churches and also a Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount. Bandra is also famous for its temples and mosques; the Bandra Mosque on SV Road stands out in particular. Bandra also boasts of Mumbai’s most popularshopping destination, the Linking Road. Bandra has a unique advantage of being in close proximity to South Mumbai and suburbs. The residential areas are very posh, like Pali Hill, Carter Road and Bandstand, which are the most famous of the lot. In Bandra transportation is never a problem. Bandra railway station is connected via the Western Railway and the Harbor Line which is an offshoot of the Suburban Central Railway. It also has a newly built terminus called Bandra Terminus in Bandra (E) from where trains bound are scheduled regularly. The Bandra-Worli Sea Link bridge connects the Bandra West shoreline with Worli in central Mumbai. There are easy public transport services, which include BEST buses, auto rickshaws and taxis. Bandra being centrally located has an easy connectivity to all the parts of the city.
